PEAVEY SANCTUARY-THEMED
EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR HELPS CHURCHES The group, consisting of both pastors and church volunteers, learned the basics of audio and how to properly set up and run church audio systems. Senior Peavey Clinician Marty McCann conducted the seminar with Peavey Mixer Engineer Tom Stuckman. ![]() Andy Ray, District Superintendent for the United Methodist Church in Mississippi, worked with McCann and Stuckman in setting up the seminar. He says he wanted to help his churches provide adequate sound reproduction for their congregations. "I have 133 churches in my district," says Ray, "and
I get discouraged when I visit them and can't hear
what's going on. Some of the churches have good equipment
and some have none, but we're about proclaiming the
gospel. If you're unable to communicate that—if
people can't hear what's being said—it's not
helping us get that message out." "There are so many features in these products that are going to be helpful to churches," he adds. "People who don't have trained technicians, who have volunteers, now have something that can be turned on and pretty much left to run itself." The Peavey Sanctuary Series includes mixers with built-in Feedback Ferret® and Automix™ technologies; loudspeakers designed for superior sound reproduction while preserving the aesthetics of sanctuaries; plus microphones, power amplifiers and more.
